8:00 am Worship in Chapel
Coffee hour after 8am service
9:00 am Power Train Contemporary Worship Service in Friendship Hall
9:00 am   Sunday School "one room schoolhouse" grades K-5th
10:30 am Worship in Sanctuary
10:30 am   Sunday School for grades K-1, 2-3, and 4-5
11:30am Coffee and cookies in the parlor following worship.

 

Christian Education for Adults on Sunday Mornings

Current events   9 a.m.  Meets in library.  Led by Jim Koontz
Video Series 9:15 a.m.  Meets in the Chapel.
Upper Room Study   10:30 a.m. in the Gathering (downstairs lounge).

Other Christian Education Opportunities

9 a.m. Wednesdays   Community Bible Study Meets at First United Methodist Church.
5 p.m. Wednesdays JIF (Journeys in Fellowship) starts with a meal for everyone followed by activities for the children.
6 p.m. Sundays   Youth group for middle school and high school aged youth meets in the youth house behind the church.
September through May   Discovery Days preschool has classes for children age 2 to 5.  Click on the preschool button to the left to learn more.
5:30 p.m. Saturdays   Parents' Night Out takes place one Saturday each month from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.  Kids will enjoy fun activities and snacks while adults get some time off from parenting.  Call the church office for the date of the next event.

Our Mission
We the members of the LaPorte First United Methodist Church personally accept Christ's challenge to make disciples of all people.  We are dedicated to the spiritual growth of God's Kingdom through worship, prayer, Christian education, fellowship, and service.   Therefore, we will lovingly gather people into community, nurture their relationship with God, and encourage their ministry.
