Christian Education Opportunities for Children and Their Families
“Sunday School is available at all three services. Children will learn Bible stories and how they apply to their life today.
The nursery is available every Sunday 7:45- 11:45.”
“Parents Night Out is the first Saturday of every month 5:00- 8:30. This free activity includes stories, games, crafts, videos, and dinner. Parents can enjoy a night out knowing their children are having fun in a safe and loving place.Children in 5th grade and under are welcome to attend. All adult volunteers and staff are background checked and trained. The staff are also CPR certified.
You can register ahead of time by calling the office at 219-362-2443 or online on the church facebook page event. (include link). Pre-registration is not required, but helps to ensure enough volunteers, food and supplies are available. The events are free but a freewill donation is accepted.”
“Saturday Bible School is the second Saturday of the month 10:00- 2:00. The activities are based on a yearly theme and are set up similar to Vacation Bible School- music, crafts, stories, and games. “Wonderful Wednesdays runs throughout the school year. Dinner at 5:00 is followed by activities for children, youth, and adults from 6:00- 7:00. The children learn Bible stories through interactive stories, crafts, games, and songs. They will also learn memory verses. Anyone is invited to attend both the dinner and activities, or just the dinner or activities. If school is not in session, there is no Wonderful Wednesday.”
Tweens is an outreach mission for 4th, 5th, and 6th Graders. This program is a joint venture between Children and Youth Ministries to bridge children from elementary to middle school adventures. Field trips, snacks, discussions, games, service projects, guest speakers, and team building activities are all part of Tweens. This gives tweens a place to explore, reach out, and feel safe during this challenging period of change. These outreach opportunities are all free.
