Youth Ministry

La Porte First United Methodist Church

A ministry where teens feel safe and loved.

1 Timothy 4:12 (NIV)

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”

Sunday Night- 4:00pm- 6:00pm Youth meet in the game room for the first hour and then spend time doing games, activities, and discussions. The focus is on living as a Christian in today’s world and dealing with the issues teens face in a Christian way. It’s a way for teens to meet other teens and connect in a fun, non-judgmental, safe environment. Anyone in 5th- 12th grade is welcome to attend. Groups will be split by age for some discussions to give them an opportunity for age appropriate discussions.

Wonderful Wednesday- Dinner 5:00- 6:00/ Bible study 6:00-7:00 Youth will focus on learning about topics based on the Bible using the Bible, videos, and other resources to make discussions interactive and engaging.
